Goodbye Legends

Xander is no longer with the Legends. 

He got to play ball with his friends for awhile. Had some fun. I will miss the kids and some of the parents deeply.  He will miss his team-mates as well. He knows he has friends with will last a lifetime from this group of boys.

Already some offers on the table. We will see what happens next. I'll keep you posted! 

Right now he is in Arizona with Art having a blast with Baseball Youth Magazine showcase!

He at least gets to finish out the last NYS game with that team.

The exit from this team was anything but positive...
I will not go into details, as this blog is only for positive memories. But I do regret joining this team, BIG mistake.
Really the only good that came from Xander playing on this team, was playing with friends for a short time. 

On to the next chapter for him.

Red, White & Blue tournament

He is ready!

The first baseman below is Robbie, he is the other catcher. I hadnt really see him play first before, but he rocked it!

Game 1 was played well. The boys held their own! We only lost by 1 run!! The Utah Grizzlies where one of the top seeded teams, so we couldnt be more proud of them.

Game 2.. we lost 14-6. We lost to a team who lost all their games but this one.. The boys played their hearts out though. Xander played 1st base this game. First time really playing there. He did good though. We were out 2 of our 1st basemen, one really sick, the other (quest) broke his arm.. again.

Right after the games, Xanders only concern was getting to Quests to check on him, as he was unable to see him in the hospital.

DAY 2 Ready!!

 My mother-in-law and Roy were in town, so they came to support Xander!

SN Bulls were the number 2 seeded team, they also placed 2nd in the tournament. We only lost by 2 runs (8-6)! great job boys!

Between games of course we took over BLD. we had a gap between games, so as usually we ate together!

The weekend was nicer because Art was home to enjoy it!! We had some great people there to support us as well!

This is Matthew. He is Mario's little brother. He plays club ball as well, for a different team. He is at our practices, and all our games. I love watching him at the cages, he slams the balls!
