Veterans Day Challenge 2015

 Always makes me nervous, as this team puts him in paces he has never been. Its great, and I love that the coaches believe in him enough to do this. All these kids are learning new positions, That makes for the best ball players!!  

 Robbie and Xander play so well together. Robbie loves to catch for Xander. 

They have a way of working so well together out there!

Day 2:

Right to center field! So proud of him!!

(knowing Coach Alex with the Piranhas was on the next field, he said "I Cant wait to tell Alex!")

Game 2

This moment was amazing: Xander just pitched really well, Adam played 1st I think. After the 3rd out, They did.. what they have been doing over their time in ball together.

This moment below, had to be my favorite. 

Collin, Katson and Jose came to watch the boys. Some other kids from the pirahnas (newer ones) sat for a moment, and then told those 3 "Let go watch the game on the other field"

These boys said.. "You go, Xander is pitching! We want to watch him!!"

It brought tears to my eyes. I almost hugged them all. I sat and took pictures of Xander with them right next to me, and they were just cheering him on. They never saw him pitch before. Of course Mathew was right with them.

Coach Jesse and Alex watched some of it as well. 

OH speaking of Mathew, Mario guest played for us this game. Or hopes he would fall in love with baseball again, and watch to play as he did!!

We didnt win, any games. As I was expecting. New teams take a little while to win. Although knowing these kids have played together for so long, and most coming off a championship team. I dont expect losses for very long..

After our game we went to watch the Piranhas!

After their game

Xander couldnt wait to talk to his friends.(and coach Alex)

He talked to him about his home run. He thanked Alex. He said he got that home run because of all the work Alex did with him. Alex would not take the credit of course.
